HAPPY FIRST OFFICIAL DAY OF FALL, EVERYONE!!! FINALLY!
Are you all as excited as I am about this beautiful change in weather??
Oh man, Autumn (or Fall) is my favorite season out of all four seasons. I prefer cold weather over hot weather, and everything that’s associated with it, so when most people are dreading that summer is over, I’m really digging all the changes.
Fall really is all about change. Changing season, changing weather, new beginnings.. It’s usually the start of a new school year, so that’s always exciting too. But aside from fresh starts, there are so many things I love about Fall!
First and foremost, I LOVE the weather. I love when the high 80s and 90s start to fade into low 60s. I love that fresh, crisp air that accompanies the beginning of this season. That slight breeze and rush of cold air really makes me feel alive after months of hot, and usually dry, weather. Not to mention, the change in season brings about change in apparel.
These crisp temperatures are collectively known as “Sweater Weather” AKA my FAVORITE! I love bringing out my warm sweaters and cardigans, soft leggings, brown boots, ankle heels, and my light scarves (I still think it’s a bit too early to bring out those chunky ones haha!)
What better way to welcome the new season than some FALL DECOR! Over the past weekend, I took some time to decorate our living room and dining room with some beautiful, fresh fall decor. Here are some ideas of how you can spruce up your space this season:
- Fall-scented candles
- String lights
- Pumpkins
- Fall wreaths
- Faux leaves of all colors
- Harvest sprays
- Faux harvest fruit bowl (apples, cranberries, squash, pumpkins)
- Flannel tablecloths
- Fall-themed table runners, table settings, and centerpieces
- Flower arrangements
- Decorated mason jars with assorted goods (acorns, candy corn, leaves, corn kernels, etc.)
- Decorative pillows
- Knitted throw blankets
- And…anything else that’s orange, red, yellow, and/or burgundy!
And finally, one of my favorite things to do is have a cozy night-in (super quarantine-friendly). Turn on a fall-themed movie, some of your favorite fall-scented candles, and snuggle in with some warm blankets. Grab some snacks and you are good to go!
I can’t wait to really soak in all of the beautiful aspects of this season. Happy Autumn to everyone and cheers to a fresh start!
Love, Snigdha
I’ve always been someone whose favorite season has been summer, but reading this has made me excited for fall to start! Great job 🙂
